I took this photograph early one morning last week, Jerry had been siting nicely next to Elroy but then decided he wanted a tummy rub, he looks a bit crazy but really he is so gentle. Elroy loves Jerry and always wants to pat him but it ends up being a grab fest, and while Jerry is very very patient, I know he doesn't love it.

It's been a very long week this week, there seems to have been a distinct shift into a new phase and level of awareness. Elroy is physically very strong and wiggly and sometimes it feels like we are battling one another, which wears me out. He has also worked out how to roll from his tummy to back and now babbles using his mouth and tongue, he is really working out sounds and has started with lots of daa daa's, it is very very cute. He has also been more teary than ever before and feeding has been hard work, I can understand why some women stop breastfeeding at six months, but I am determined to keep going for as long as we can.
